Howard Boros, President of Over the Moon Travel, began his career at the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington,D.C. where he developed unique familiarity with the airline industry. Although a practicing lawyer in Washington where his specialty was representing airlines, tour operators and travel agencies, Howard’s forte was managing travel enterprises. He began his 30 years in the travel industry as vice president of Pacific Airlines.

Thereafter, at various times he directed the activities of major tour operators and travel agencies where he learned the nuts and bolts of the travel business. Those years in the trenches convinced him that vacation travel was personal and that excellence in the performance of package tours could only be obtained through careful attention to the needs and comforts of each individual.

Howard and his wife Robin decided that Over the Moon Travel tours would be both escorted and limited in size. This decision provided the opportunity for participants, should they be so inclined, to develop relationships with their fellow travelers. Every destination is personally inspected by Robin and Howard in tandem to assure that accommodations are first-class, easily accessible, and in close proximity to major points of interest.

Robin Boros, C.E.O of Over the Moon Travel, discovered her passion for travel in 1972 when she worked in the international and executive departments of Hertz Rent-a-Car. In 1976 she was hired as hotel manager by the largest tour operator in the Midwest. It was there that she met Howard, who was serving as the operator’s attorney. She was responsible for procuring and handling thousands of hotel rooms throughout the world. Thereafter, she was appointed flight supervisor which required her monitoring all flights for the tour operator. She moved to Washington, D.C when she was offered the position of Sales Manager for the Sheraton Hotel.

In 1980 she established and operated a travel agency while simultaneously serving as national director of sales for a Spanish airline. It was that association that prompted Robin and Howard to move to Mallorca, Spain where they lived for ten years while traveling the world. In Mallorca she began painting and sculpting. When she and Howard moved back to the United States they built an art studio in their home. Classes are conducted to this day under the tutelage of an outstanding teacher.

Robin and Howard established Over the Moon Travel so they could combine their love of art with their experience in the travel industry by escorting travelers on package tours throughout the world.
